Save Support Protect
Seven seventh graders from Bayside Middle School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin are competing in the national Lexus Eco Challenge sponsored by Scholastic and Lexus. They need your help to save, support, and protect our Earth. Their goal is to have a world wide “Dark Out Day” and have as many people as possible participate. They created a pledge for people o sign up for acts of kindness to help the environment, such as turning off lights and unplugging appliances. Using math and research, they figured out formulas to see how much money Dark Out Day will save. Already they have, over 340 fans on Facebook, and have appeared on Fox 6 News. People from over 14 countries have visited their Facebook, website, and have taken the pledge. They are using social media to spread their message. Please visit:
