Eastcastle Place Invites Seniors to Vintage Hat Show
A Great Time to Reminisce
From stamps and baseball cards to key chains and figurines, people are fascinated with collecting the rare and unusual. At Eastcastle Place, a vibrant senior living community on Milwaukee’s East Side, seniors are invited to see Heather Edgington’s highly impressive hat collection during her Vintage Hat Show on Friday, March 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
From the Victorian age through the Edwardian era to the Flapper years, Edgington has hundreds of vintage hats, dating as far back as 1860. She’s been a private collector for more than 25 years and recently celebrated her tenth year offering Vintage Hat and Style Shows. Currently, she has more than 200 vintage hats and an extensive collection of dresses to match.
Edgington’s programs are rich in history about actual women and events and highly interactive; she uses her guests as hat models. Seniors will be delighted as they step back in time with residents to reminisce about their mothers’ and grandmothers’ lives and the various fashion eras throughout history.
The event is free, and seniors must reserve a space. For more information and to make reservations, contact Ashley at (414) 963-8489.
