Free Showing of "Blue Jasmine"

April 16, 2014

The Glendale Senior Citizens' Club will watch writer/director Woody Allen's "Blue Jasmine" in the clubroom on the lower level of Glen Hills Middle School, 2600 W. Mill Road, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23. Non-members are always welcome at club events.

Academy-Award winner Cate Blanchett plays the icy beauty on the arm of a philandering husband (Alec Baldwin), who, when his shady dealings leave her penniless, clings to an idealized view of the life she once had and thinks she deserves again despite having to move into the humble San Francisco apartment of her working class sister (Sally Hawkins). The movie also features Louis C. K., Andrew Dice Clay, and Peter Sarsgaard. Call (414) 540-2100 with questions.
