Lift Pilates Host Grand Opening of New Studio in Fox Point on May 19

May 17, 2012

The Lift Pilates, a leading Milwaukee-area Pilates studio committed to helping customers adopt a more healthy and fit lifestyle, will unveil its newly designed, state-of-the-art, 3,000 square foot studio in Fox Point’s Audubon Court Shopping Center on Saturday, May 19 during a Grand Opening Celebration.

The Grand Opening Celebration will showcase the variety of classes and services offered by the studio, including CoreAlign®, a revolutionary new cross training program that features a customized apparatus-like cart to help users improve balance, posture and overall movement. The Lift Pilates is the first and only studio in Wisconsin to offer CoreAlign®, a vertical cross training workout designed to improve flexibility, posture alignment and performance.

The Lift’s new studio location is designed to accommodate the growing demand for Pilates and CoreAlign® in the region. Classes are taught in group or individual sessions for all levels of experience.

“The grand opening of our new studio marks an exciting milestone for The Lift,” said Patty McNichols, owner and head instructor of The Lift Pilates. “We’ve worked very hard over the past seven years to grow our business and bring the finest in Pilates techniques to customers. With the addition of CoreAlign®, we’ve added the ideal complement to Pilates. We’re creating a venue to inspire people to live healthier, more active lives.”

CoreAlign® is a vertical cross training system designed to improve posture, balance and functional movement by stimulating core stability muscles to fire in perfect timing while performing challenging exercises. Created to supplement existing Pilates programs, CoreAlign® emphasizes deep stretches and core-controlled aerobic training.

Developed by California-based Balanced Body, each CoreAlign® apparatus frame encloses two tracks and carts, which move independently with smooth resistance (or assistance) created by six elastic resistance tube assemblies. Resistance/assistance is possible in one or both directions. CoreAlign® provides hundreds of functional movement exercises to increase the overall strength and flexibility of core muscles, making it ideal for athletes of all sizes and ages.

The Lift Pilates Grand Opening Celebration is Saturday, May 19 from 10 am to 2 pm at 383 W. Brown Deer Road. In Fox Point. Guests are invited to tour the studio, meet the instructors, sign-up for discounted classes, and win prizes, including complimentary sessions. Three free “Try-It” classes will also be offered for anyone interested in experiencing mat classes at 9 am, 11 am and 1 pm.

Guests interested in signing up for the complimentary classes are encouraged to call the studio at 414-751-8200 in advance to secure a spot. Spaces are limited.
