The Glendale Police Department will be hosting the 2nd Youth Police Academy that has ever been held starting March 2011.
The Youth Police Academy is a six-week program for youth ages 13-17, designed to give the participants a working knowledge of the Glendale Police Department. It consists of a series of classes and discussions held once a week on a designated evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. The class size is limited to ten to twelve students. There is no cost to anyone who enrolls.
The class will provide an in-depth view into various areas of law enforcement. It is an educational and informative program that allows young citizens the opportunity to learn about the issues those effect law enforcement efforts in the City of Glendale, and how to develop a partnership with the police department.
Any questions, please contact Officer Kelly DeJonge at the Glendale Police Department, (414) 228-1758. Further information will be provided in the upcoming months.
