Nicolet ended its three-game losing streak at Whitefish Bay's expense, making enough free throws late in the game to turn back the Blue Dukes' rally.

New Berlin wins state volleyball championship
Just hours after an upset win over Marquette, the New Berlin United boys volleyball team defeated Nicolet in five games on Nov. 14 to win the WIAA state championship at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
