1A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for suspended registration in the 9100 block of North Port Washington Road at 10:40 a.m. Sept. 13. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car and, when asked, the man admitted he had some in his left sock. The man also had a "warm purple pipe" and a pouch with another pipe.
2A 16-year-old Bayside girl was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, and two other Bayside girls, ages 14 and 15, were arrested for vandalism after they set a fire on a path near the Ellsworth Park tennis courts, 600 E. Ellsworth Lane, at 7:40 p.m. Sept. 14. A witness saw the girls start the fire. The girls had taken books from the free library at the park, tore out pages and lit them using lighters. One told police they set the fire to stay warm. The 16-year-old had over 1 gram of marijuana and a pipe with residue in her purse. She said she intended to smoke it later but would not say where she got it.
3A 60-year-old Bayside man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of 1.3 grams of marijuana after he was stopped for a burned-out headlight in the 8700 block of I-43 at 10:20 p.m. Sept. 16. He was taken for a blood draw.
4A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of clothing, valued at $258, from Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 1. An employee saw him run from the store with "bulging jeans." When stopped about a block away, he was wearing two pairs of new jeans under his own jeans and had stuffed other items into his underwear.
5A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for driving under the influence and open intoxicants in the 9100 block of North 60th Street at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 2. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car and the man admitted being "high." He was taken for a blood draw.
6A Milwaukee man and woman, both 22, were arrested for theft, possession of an anti-detection shield and obstruction and the woman also for carrying a concealed "electric weapon" at Old Navy, 9094 N. Green Bay Road, at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 3. The couple fled in a car driven by another person and in that car was a toddler. As they drove away, someone threw some of stolen items out of the car. About $200 of clothing taken from Old Navy was recovered, along with items possibly taken from Kmart, Kohl's and another store.
7A $200 digital media player, $99 in cash and a pack of cigarettes were taken from a car in an underground parking structure in the 4200 block of West Rivers Edge Circle Sept. 1 or 2.
8A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was ordered to report to the district attorney's office Sept. 11 on allegations of disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, violating a 72-hour no-contact order and stalking, all domestic violence related, in the 9400 block of North Green Bay Road from Sept. 7 to 10. The man violated the no-contact order when he went to the victim's home and would not allow her to leave. Later he called her dozens of times. The victim came to the Police Department to report the man and he called. An officer spoke to him and he denied knowing about the no-contact order but, in any case, he said, everything was "her fault."
9A 27-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, and driving while suspended after a witness reported that he hit two parked cars at Parkview Pub, 7651 N. Teutonia Ave., about midnight Sept. 9. The man, who left the scene but stopped less than a block away, denied hitting any cars. He did admit, at first, having "a lot" to drink but later said "only a little." His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.228 and he was taken for a blood draw. The cars he hit had only minor damage and the owners did not pursue charges.
10A man (age and residence not available) was arrested for drunken driving, with three prior convictions, and refusal to take a breath test after a witness reported that his vehicle hit a median on Interstate 43 and stopped in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 8:40 p.m. Sept. 8. He was taken for a blood draw.
11A female (age and address unavailable) was arrested for underage drinking, with two prior convictions, after she was seen hitchhiking in the 8000 block of North Port Washington Road at 12:10 a.m. Sept. 14. She admitted having four beers. Her preliminary BAC was 0.145.
12A 50-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested Sept. 5 for forgery/theft after forging her father's signature on 21 checks and cashing them for a total of $9,700 at Guaranty Bank, 5610 N. Bayshore Drive, from Feb. 11 to March 23. She also admitted uses his debit and credit cards to withdraw money, which she said she used to buy drugs.
13Two Milwaukee girls, ages 15 and 17, were arrested for fraud on an innkeeper and the older girl also cited for obstruction after they left without paying their bill of $34 food bill at Buffalo Wild Wings, 590 W. Northshore Drive, at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 7. Their waiter chased after them and they were stopped. The older girl gave a false name and birthdate, and the younger girl gave four telephone numbers for her mother, none of which worked.
14A 40-year-old woman (residence not listed) was arrested Sept. 7 for theft from her employer Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., Aug. 17. The woman said that on Aug. 10 she gave $103 to a man to purchase two dresses for her and that she refunded that money to him on Aug. 17 but he did not return the dresses. She said he needed the money for his sick mother.
15A bank deposit bag with about $700 was reported missing from Sports Plus, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, Sept. 7 or 8.
16Twenty-three rounds of ammunition for a .40-caliber gun were found in a vacated room at La Quinta Inn & Suites, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 8.
17A 31-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, with three prior convictions, after he was stopped for speeding in the 5400 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 9. The man, who admitted having five drinks, had a BAC of 0.18.
18Three men's lockers were broken into at LA Fitness, 501 W. North Shore Drive, the morning of Sept. 9. Car keys, a remote and a digital media player, with a total value of $1,250, were taken from one locker. The doors had been torn off, causing $600 damage.
19A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for theft, possession of a booster bag, trespassing and obstruction after she took clothing valued at $78 from Forever 21, 5766 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 9. She gave a false name because she knew she was banned but said, "I like going to Bayshore" and she didn't think anyone would recognize her. She had been banned after being arrested for theft twice in the last 10 months.
20Two cars were entered and their ignitions tampered with in the 5700 block of North Braeburn Lane and the 5800 block of North Argyle Avenue overnight Sept. 10 or 11.
21A car was broken into at La Quinta Inn & Suites, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, Sept. 10 or 11. A $300 GPS unit and a pair of $170 sunglasses were taken. Damage to a window was $200.
22A 14-year-old girl and two girls and one boy, all 13, of Milwaukee were arrested for theft from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 11. They had taken jewelry and clothing valued at over $700. Two of the girls were listed as missing juveniles.
23Residents received two written warnings for violation of a city ordinance after a anonymous report of a goat "crying" in the 5400 block of North Shasta Drive at 11 a.m. Sept. 12. One of the residents said the goat was going to be slaughtered for "religious service." They were informed the goat had to be removed by Sept. 13.
24A 22-year-old woman (residence not available) was arrested for theft after she left a store and set off the alarm at Delia's, 5770 N. Bayshore Drive, at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13. In her purse, the woman had clothing valued at over $120 taken from Delia's, H&M and Forever 21. All the clothing was returned.
No reportable incidents this week.
25A locked bicycle valued at $300 was taken from a bike rack at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, the afternoon of Sept. 6.
26A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft from his employer, Baker's Square, 1305 E. Capitol Drive, at 7:20 p.m. Sept. 7. The man was seen taking more than $200 from the cash register and fleeing. He was stopped a few blocks away and $181 was recovered.
27A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance after he was stopped for driving without taillights in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Sept. 9. He had improperly obtained prescription medicine.
28A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and speeding, 46 mph in a 30-mph zone, in the 1200 block of E. Capitol Drive at 2:50 a.m. Sept. 10. His BAC was 0.18.
29A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, and refusal to take a breath test after she was stopped on a noise complaint of loud music which could be heard more than 200 feet away in the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue at 3:40 a.m. Sept. 13. She was taken for a blood draw.
30A metal antique railroad cart valued at $350 was taken from a yard in the 4500 block of North Newhall Street on Sept. 11 or 12.
31A women reported that a 20-year-old Shorewood man was threatening and bullying her developmentally disabled son in the 1900 block of East Kenmore Avenue at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 12. The case is being investigated.
32An 18-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on school property as he sat in his car in the lot at Shorewood High School, 3839 N. Oakland Ave., at 11 a.m. Sept. 12.
33A 43-year-old Whitefish Bay man was mailed a citation for dog at large after an officer saw his dog off leash "harassing school-goers" in the 5300 block of North Marlborough Drive at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 11.
34Two thefts of liquor were reported by CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 12:40 p.m. Sept. 11 and 5:45 p.m. Sept. 14. On Sept. 11, two or three males grabbed liquor and drove off in a green Jeep Cherokee. On Sept. 14, two or more males hid liquor in their pants and fled. A similar theft was reported Aug. 30 when three males hid liquor in their pants and fled on bicycles.
34A 22-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, no proof of insurance and non-registration in the 6100 block of North Lake Drive at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 12.
35A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for driving a car that had been reported as stolen from Milwaukee and he was cited for driving after suspension, failure to wear a seatbelt and no insurance in the 200 block of East Hampton Road at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 15.
36A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, driving with a suspended license, non-registration, unauthorized registration, failure to wear a seatbelt, no insurance and a defective taillight in the 1500 block of East Fairmount Avenue at 3:03 a.m. Sept. 16.
37A 30-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for suffocation/domestic violence in the 4900 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 16. The victim said the man, her live-in boyfriend and she had an argument the night before and she left. When she returned home that morning, an argument began and he put an pillow over her face so she could hardly breathe.
