1A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after being stopped for a burned out headlight on County Line Road at Pheasant Lane at 2:25 a.m. Nov. 30. His blood alcohol content was 0.11.
2A "campsite" was reported on a private beach in the 1500 block of West Fairy Chasm Road at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 1. A fire pit, chair, mattress/raft, pink sleeping bag, empty beer and liquor bottles, a Mayan calendar, a Buddha statue, a pink plastic flamingo and incense were found and removed.
3Three Milwaukee females, 17, 18 and 19, were arrested for theft of 15 items valued at $279 from Old Navy, 9094 N. Green Bay Road, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17. Employees saw one carrying a pile of clothing in her arms. She stopped and put a few back on a table and then carried the rest out of the store. Another was seen filling her purse and also walking out of the store. The girls fled in a car but were stopped driving south in the 7700 block of Interstate 43.
4Two flat screen TVs valued at $300 were taken from the 8900 block of North Park Plaza Court during the day Nov. 18. There was no sign of forced entry.
5A table saw valued at $499 was taken from a storage unit at Stratford Village, 8273 N. Teutonia Ave., sometime after Nov. 16 and reported missing at noon Nov. 21.
6A 13-year-old Brown Deer girl was cited and turned over to a parent for disorderly conduct after using profane language at a playground near Brown Deer Middle School, 5757 W. Dean Road, about noon Nov. 21.
7A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test after running over a curb and knocking down a tree in the 6400 block of West Bradley Road at 8:50 p.m. Nov. 22. When asked what happened he said, "I do not know." The man admitted having two beers two hours before and failed field sobriety tests.
8A 17-year-old Brown Deer boy was arrested for driving a car without the owner's consent after taking a car belonging to a friend's mother in the 7800 block of North 47th Street sometime Nov. 24. He was at the home when the owner left for church and said after finding the car keys, he decided to drive around awhile admitting it was wrong but saying he had no intention of keeping the car. Later he let another boy drive it and after it ran out of gas in the 8700 block of Interstate 43 about 4 p.m. Nov. 26, he fled the car, he said, to get gasoline. He was stopped by Fox Point police and picked up because of being reported as a runaway. The boy had been reported as a runaway dozens of times this year and most recently he was sent home after arriving at Brown Deer High School "reeking of marijuana" the morning of Nov. 19.
A 38-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related and domestic violence while armed after threatening a man with a knife, hitting and throwing objects at him at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 26. The woman also slashed four tires causing $600 damage. The woman admitted having the knife but denied using it or threatening the man in any way. She did say he "disrespected" her and had "come at her." The victim signed a 72-hour no contact order.
9A nonresident man, age not available, was arrested for drunken driving with a prior conviction and driving after revocation, OWI related, and warned for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 8400 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:28 a.m. Dec. 1. The man said he had two drinks and after failing a field sobriety test said, "I've tried this sober and it is difficult." His BAC was 0.17.
10A nonresident female was cited for hit and run causing damage to property after driving into a ditch and damaging the lawn in the 7100 block of North Crossway Road early morning Dec. 1. Police met with the female after her car was towed asking why she didn't report the accident and left the scene. She said the first thing she did was call a cab and then her phone went dead. She also said she wasn't sure what she should do since she'd "never been in that position before" and in any case didn't think her car was a hazard.
11A catalytic converter was taken off a van at General Plastics, 2609 W. Mill Road, sometime Nov. 21 to 27. Damage was $300.
A resident said that at least 30 credit card accounts had been fraudulently opened in his name over the last months and reported Nov. 26.
12A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft and possession of a anti-theft removal devise at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 24. She filled a large hand bag with men's fragrances valued at more than $200 and fled the store. When stopped, the woman, who was "extremely uncooperative," answered most questions with "Go (expletive) yourself." She admitted having anger management problems and was seeing a doctor. When told she was banned for life from Bayshore she said, "I could care less."
A 26-year-old Glendale man was arrested for battery/domestic violence related after he hit and shoved a woman and then grabbed her by the hair pulling out hair weaves at 11 a.m. Nov. 26. He admitted shoving her but denied hitting or pulling her hair saying she pushed him.
13A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana, theft and a Waukesha warrant at Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 26. The woman was seen taking a black knit cap from a shelf and going into the bathroom. She exited without the cap leaving behind a strong odor of burned marijuana. When stopped she admitted taking the cap saying it was cold outside and also admitted smoking marijuana in the bathroom. She was found with a marijuana cigar weighing 1 gram.
14 51-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of jewelry valued at more than $500 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 4 p.m. Nov. 26. The man was seen removing the tags and putting the jewelry into his pockets. He was stopped as he left the store.
15A briefcase and cooler, value not listed, was taken from a car in the 5200 block of North Port Washington Road between 4:45 and 6:45 p.m. Nov. 26. A window was broken to gain entry causing $450 damage.
16A 14-year-old boy and two 17-year-old girls, residences not listed, were arrested for theft from Boston Store, H&M and Forever 21, all in Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 27. One left Boston Store carrying a large bag which set off the alarm. They drove but were stopped. One girl denied taking anything but the other girl and the boy both admitted shoplifting. The girls had clothing and jewelry valued at more than $400 and the boy had items valued at about $36.
Two residents reported getting calls from grandsons who needed money on Nov. 26 and Nov. 29. One was told his grandson was in a Mexican jail and the other that her grandson was at a Mexican wedding and both needed money. The grandparents did not send any money because both knew the calls were a scam.
17A student, age and gender not available, was cited for theft of four memory cards valued at more than $150 taken from computers at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 1:25 p.m. Nov. 29.
18A robbery was reported at TCF Bank, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive at 1:42 p.m. Dec. 2. A man, not displaying a weapon, passed a note to the teller. He was described as in his 20s, about 5'4" tall, thin and wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and a black knit cap. He fled on foot.
No reportable incidents.
19Solar lights, value not listed, were taken from the 4400 block of North Morris Boulevard sometime Nov. 21 to 23.
20An unsecured bicycle valued at $300 was taken from a front porch in the 3800 block of North Bartlett Avenue on Nov. 22 or 23.
21Four tires and rims valued at $3,500 were taken from a car in the 4500 block of North Wilson Drive on Nov 23 or 24 and reported Nov. 25.
22A resident reported finding a needle/metal object in a candy bar in the 1500 block of East Capitol Drive on Nov. 25. The candy was collected during Halloween trick or treat. No injuries were reported.
23A wedding ring valued at $1,200 was taken from the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue on Nov. 24 to Nov. 26. There was no information regarding forced entry.
24A door had been forced open to an empty apartment in the 800 block of East Glendale Avenue on Nov. 23 and reported Nov. 25.
25A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and open intoxicants and warned for speeding 48 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 1100 block of East Capitol Drive at 3:20 a.m. Nov. 25. A bottle of cognac was found in the car along with 5 grams of marijuana.
26A credit card was taken from a purse at a business in the 4400 block of North Oakland Avenue sometime Nov. 14 to 16 and reported Nov. 27. The card, used at a Milwaukee Walmart charging more than $600, was canceled.
27Copper pipes and fittings, value not listed, delivered by a construction company were taken from a residence in the 2100 block of East Beverly Road on Nov. 25 or 26.
28A lawn mower, valued at $300 was taken from the 5200 block of North Berkeley Boulevard on Nov. 20 or 21.
29A mountain bike valued at $250 was taken from a bike rack at Richards School, 5812 N. Santa Monica Blvd., during the day Nov. 27. The owner called police on Nov. 28 to report the bike had been returned.
A 29-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after a report of her and her live-in boyfriend, 26, fighting at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 29. An Assistant District Attorney issued a "No Process" and police then issued disorderly conducts to both the woman and the man.
A resident reported eggs being thrown out of dark van near Ch teau Place and Lydell Avenue about 9 p.m. Dec. 1. The police were unable to find the van. Another resident reported his car being "egged" in the 1200 block of East Henry Clay Street on Dec. 1 or 2. No damage was reported.
30A 24-year-old man and two women, 22 and 23, all of Milwaukee and a 21-year-old Madison man were mailed citations for theft after a resident reported people taking Christmas decorations from yards in the 4900 block of North Ardmore Avenue early morning Dec. 2. The suspects were stopped by Shorewood police in the 3900 block of North Morris Boulevard and stolen decorations were recovered including a wooden snowman and a stuffed Snoopy dog.
NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded to 111 calls, 85 emergency medical and 26 fire/rescue, Nov. 26 to Dec. 2.
31Carbon monoxide levels of 60 PPM were found in a home in the 9100 block of North Goldendale Drive, Brown Deer, at 10 a.m. Nov. 27. The home was evacuated and ventilated and the furnace turned off. Levels dropped and the homeowner was told to have the furnace serviced. No injures were reported.
