• Police received an anonymous complaint that a Bayside home was listed for sale on Craigslist by someone living in South Africa at 6:30 p.m. March 13.
A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of a cell phone and possession of 0.10 ounces of marijuana found in his pocket at the Brown Deer Police Department on March 3. The man was called to the station because he was found with a cell phone taken from the girls locker room at Brown Deer High School, 8060 N. 60th St., the evening of Feb. 26. The owner had traced her phone using a Global Positioning System to a residence in the 5500 block of North 42nd Street, Milwaukee, where the man lived. He said he was a security guard for a Milwaukee firm and found the phone on some stairs at the school and kept it when he left for another job. He also admitted making one call with it but denied stealing it. The marijuana was found in his pocket.
A 60-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of more than 12 bottles of cologne and perfume valued at $365 from TJ Maxx, 9020 N. Green Bay Road, at 4 p.m. March 6. The woman had hidden the perfume in her sweatshirt and purse and fled the store. She said she took it because she had no money and was homeless.
A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for hit-and-run accident causing damage in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road at 5:30 p.m. March 6. The woman sideswiped a parked car and gave the other driver a false name and drove off. She was traced by her license plate because the victim's daughter took a cell phone photo of it and gave it to police who arrested the woman in the 8700 block of West Capitol Drive about 9 p.m.
A 26-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for her second drunken driving violation and speeding 50 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 5000 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:10 a.m. March 7. She admitted drinking five beers.
A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of 0.6 grams of marijuana and suspended registration in the 7800 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 3:30 p.m. March 8. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car along with a heavy scent of perfume. The woman showed police a blunt she had hidden in her ash tray.
A hit-and-run accident causing more than $1,000 damage was reported at the Old Country Buffet, 6538 W. Brown Deer Road, at 8 p.m. March 8. The car was damaged both in the front and back after being hit from behind and pushed into a cement light pole.
Fifty checks were reported stolen from Entringer and Associates, 7670 N. Port Washington Road, on March 4. The theft was discovered when three checks were forged and cashed for more than $5,000 at Guaranty Banks in Wauwatosa and Milwaukee.
A 64-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft after driving away with 21 clothing items valued at more than $650 taken from Lands End Inlet, 8777 N. Port Washington Road, at 3 p.m. March 8. The woman was stopped a few blocks away with a 33-year-old Milwaukee man she said was her fiancé.
A 23-year-old Mequon woman, baby sitting at the residence, was arrested for forgery in the 1800 block of East Fox Lane on March 9. The woman was paid with a check for $200. However, after saying she lost that check, she found the victim's checkbook and made out a new one for $300. She told police she had been underpaid the first time.
A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for his third drunken driving after he was found sleeping in his car with the lights on in the 7900 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:45 a.m. March 11. The man said he was on his way to work but because of the fog had decided to stop a while. His blood-alcohol content was 0.13.
A car radio, two bowling balls and case valued at about $500 were taken from a car in the 2800 block of West Mill Road on March 3 or 4. Damage to a window was $200.
A 38-year-old Jacksonville, N.C., man was arrested for burglary in the 5500 block of North Navajo Avenue at 2 p.m. March 4. The resident was home with her children, one of them napping on the second floor, when she heard loud knocking at the door and then the bell ringing. She refused to answer it, taking her son to the back patio and in a few moments, the suspect crashed through a patio door. She ran upstairs, locked herself and children in a bathroom and called 911. The suspect admitted knocking on at least 10 doors saying he was broke and looking for cash and that he was surprised at "how many people are home on a weekday." He was also arrested for a Whitefish Bay burglary.
Two tires were taken from a car at Andrew Chevrolet, 1500 W. Silver Spring Drive, about 10:30 p.m. March 4. A floor jack had been used to jack up the car but it slipped causing $3,500 damage. A witness reported seeing a man carrying a tire get into a Toyota and drive away.
A smart phone and case, a jacket and mittens valued at more than $300 were taken from a girl's locker at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Drive, March 5.
A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for his third drunken driving violation, driving after revocation and driving the wrong way on a divided highway in the 5700 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:45 a.m. March 6. The man drove north in south-bound lanes and admitted having a "few beers." He lost his balance constantly when taking field sobriety tests. His BAC was 0.22.
Two Milwaukee girls, 15 and 18, were arrested for theft of more than $400 worth of merchandise at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, about 11:30 a.m. March 9. The girls hid jewelry, lingerie and other clothing in their purses and jackets.
A 62-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for a warrant and theft of 11 steaks and five packages of shrimp valued at $181 from Pick 'n Save, 1735 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 4:30 p.m. March 10. The man put the items in a cart, rolled the cart past checkout and left. He said he had no money and was going to sell the food to buy cigarettes.
A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 66 mph in a 45 mph zone in the 2500 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1:15 a.m. March 9. His BAC was 0.18.
Graffiti was spray painted on fences and other property causing damage of more than $100 in the 3900 block of North Sherburn Place, the 4200 block North Olsen, the 4300 blocks of North Wildwood and North Alpine and the 4400 block of North Ardmore avenues March 6 or 7.
Two GPS units valued at more than $400 were taken from a car parked in an alley in the 4400 block North Woodburn Street and one from a car in the 1300 block of East Kensington Boulevard on March 6 or 7.
A 25-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for criminal damage to property after he slashed two front tires in the 4100 block of North Bartlett Avenue the morning of March 7.
A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for possession of 0.5 ounce of marijuana at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive at 7 a.m. March 9.
A diamond and gold ring valued at more than $3,000 was taken from a bedroom dresser at a home for sale in the 4100 block of North Prospect Avenue sometime before March 11.
A 33-year-old Shorewood woman was warned for disorderly conduct after she caused a disturbance at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, at noon March 11. She was told not to return or she would be cited for trespassing.
A $700 bicycle locked at a bike rack was taken from the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue between 7 and 8 p.m. March 11.
An 18-year-old Milwaukee man, a student, was ordered into the police department March 18 to be issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia after the dean of students found a digital scale with marijuana residue in his locker at Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive March 8.
A touch cell phone valued at $270 was taken from a locked locker at Dominican High School, 120 E. Silver Spring Drive, between 2 and 3 p.m. March 10.
A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 44 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 4700 block of North Wilson Drive at 2:20 a.m. March 12. His BAC was 0.08.
Two 16-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested for trespassing on school property and one also for possession of marijuana at Whitefish Bay Middle School, 1144 E. Henry Clay St., at 4 p.m. March 12. Police were called on a report of two boys trespassing and causing a disturbance.
A 30-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for drunken driving and improper tire equipment after driving with a flat tire to the Whitefish Woman's Club parking lot, 600 E. Henry Clay St., at 4:30 a.m. March 14. She refused to take a breath test.
A burglary was reported after a service door was found damaged at Harder's Shell Service, 303 E. Hampton Road, at 6 a.m. March 15. Cartons of cigarettes were taken and an inventory is being conducted to see how many were stolen.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
• Firefighters responded to 95 calls, 67 emergency medical and 28 fire/rescue, the week of March 8 to March 14.
Emergency responded to the report of a Freon leak at Dean School, 5757 W. Dean Road, Brown Deer, at 8:10 a.m. March 12. Brown Deer police evacuated the school and the leak was found in the boiler room. The area was ventilated, and the school was cleared by 9:45 a.m.
