Bayside receives good-government award

Bayside — The village has been awarded the Wisconsin Good Government Award for 2009 for municipalities with a population of less than 10,000.

The award program, sponsored by the Foth consulting firm, the Wisconsin Counties Association, the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and the Wisconsin Towns Association honors "cooperation, collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking."

According to the village's Bayside Buzz newsletter, Bayside was honored for implementing five long-term strategic initiatives.
