Radisson hosts open casting call for Strathairn movie

If you always wanted to be in pictures, you might have a shot. The production company NGNM is in the Milwaukee area for the next two months shooting their new feature length film, "No God, No Master" and will hold an open casting call for extras, bit parts and speaking roles from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Radisson Hotel, 7065 N. Port Washington Road.

Producers of the film plan to cast 60 percent of the speaking roles in the Wisconsin/Illinois area. "No God, No Master" is a Screen Actors Guild motion picture, but speaking roles are opening to union and non-union actors alike.

"No God, No Master," directed by Terry Green, is the story of a US Bureau of Investigation agent William Flynn, played by Academy Award-nominated actor David Strathairn ("Good Night and Good Luck"), who is swept into the world of homegrown terrorism during the red scare of the early 1900s. His journey into the culture of anarchism sets the stage for a timely drama with resounding parallels to the politics and issues of contemporary society. This action-driven feature film is the story of one man's odyssey into a universe of power, greed and corruption.

The producers are looking for Italian, Eastern European, non-specific Caucasian and Mediterranean looks and are accepting all ages and body types. No experience is needed.

Filming for "No God, No Master" will take place throughout the Milwaukee area. Shooting will run from July 20 to Aug. 16.

For information on the casting event for "No God, No Master" contact the casting director Theresea Boyeson at castingtb@gmail.com.
