1About 50 feet of copper pipes and fittings valued at $2,000 were taken from a vacant home in the 8800 block of North Iroquois Road between Dec. 19 and Jan. 3. A real estate agent reported the theft.
2A 12-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for theft of items valued at $334 at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 4. The girl was wearing some of the nine items taken including a new pair of shoes leaving behind her old pair in the shoe box. The girl got into a car driven by a relative and all items were recovered.
3A driver's license, debit card and $47 cash were taken from a wallet left in a secured men's locker at the YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9.
A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was ordered to appear before the Milwaukee County District Attorney for damage to property/domestic violence related after arguing with a woman and then damaging her cellphone at 3 p.m. Jan. 18. The man, who left before police arrived, was called and told to appear or a warrant would be issued for his arrest. He hung up.
A 25-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for criminal damage to property/domestic violence related after knocking a hole in a bathroom door the afternoon of Jan. 18. His ex-girlfriend said she had allowed the man to live with her because he had no where else to go. She also said he had been arrested in Florida for domestic violence when the two of them had been there. She signed a 72-hour no contact order.
4A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 18. The woman, who had taken perfume and clothing valued at more than $180, said she had the money to buy the items but had "no intention of purchasing them legitimately."
A 23-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for criminal damage to property/domestic violence related at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21. He was arguing with a relative over the meaning of "Titletown" and the Green Bay Packers and punched a hole in the bathroom door. The man had a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.154. The relative did not sign the 72-hour no contact order.
A 52-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after choking and twisting the arm of a male relative at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 22. The victim signed the 72-hour no contact order. The man, who had not taken his medication for depression and anger issues, had a preliminary BAC of 0.140. He posted bail and was released.
5Two men, one 24-years-old, residences not listed, are suspects in fraud after purchasing more than $4,500 of carpeting using worthless checks from Kern's Carpet, 8643 N. Port Washington Road, the week of Jan. 7 and reported Jan. 14. The store reported that a man and woman came to the store on Jan. 7 and purchased two sections of carpeting valued at more than $1,700 paying by personal check. They then made three more purchases of the same carpeting again using personal checks, at least one from a different bank. After that final purchase, the store was advised that the first check was on a closed account and worthless. When the men returned to the store, police reported that the 32-year-old was "wearing female attire." These same men are suspects in similar incidents in Brookfield and Milwaukee and are under investigation by police and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.
Residents reported receiving a collection letter from Enhanced Recovery Co. for $1,196 for unpaid bills to the Dish Network on Jan. 24. The residents had no account with Dish and have advised the collection agency.
6A 16-year-old boy, residence not available, was cited for damage to property and warned for a curfew violation at Longacre Skating Rink, 7343 N. Longacre Road, at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 18. When police arrived, another boy was attempting to push him out while he revved his engine. That wasn't possible because part of the car was in 1 1/2 feet of water. He said he drove onto the ice to do "some doughnuts." A tow company was called and the car removed.
7A 40-inch Dynex flat screen TV valued at $400 was taken from a room at the Radisson Hotel, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, after 5 p.m. Jan 14 and reported Jan. 17. The theft was discovered after a guest complained that the box TV in that room should be replaced with a flat screen TV. A check revealed the flat screen TV had been in that room but it was now gone and replaced by an older TV moved from a nearby room.
8A 30-year-old West Allis man was arrested Jan. 22 for a fraud at Concours Motors, 5990 N. Green Bay Road, on Dec. 14. He had purchased a BMW valued at $46,540 in December and had it financed by BMW. He then reportedly altered the title removing BMW as lien holder and sold the car to a Waukesha CarMax dealership Jan. 21.
9A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for trespassing at The Apple Store, 5715 N. Centerpark Way, at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The man had been at the store Jan. 18 and was warned not to return or he would be arrested after being disorderly in the store and following an employee to her car. He returned and was arrested.
10An obscene drawing using shaving or whipping cream was found on a driveway in the 400 block of West Daphne Road at noon Jan. 20. Rubber bands were also found on the driveway and lawn.
11An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and obstruction/resisting after taking a Dodge Grand Caravan from the 4800 block of North Port Washington Avenue at 3:09 p.m. Jan 20. Police followed the car to the 4700 block of North 19th Place where the man jumped out and ran but was found by canine officer Boomer. When stopped, he denied taking the car and when reminded he was driving it, said, "Ya, but I didn't steal it." He did say, however, that he and two other males "may have entered" other cars in Glendale. Cars were entered with two ignitions damaged, a window broken and items taken in the 4600 blocks of North Elm Tree Road and North Ironwood Lane and the 4900 block of North Navajo Avenue. At least one item was found in the stolen Dodge.
12Two condenser coils with a total weight of 200 pounds of copper tubing were taken from air-conditioners on a roof in the 4300 block of North Green Bay Avenue sometime after September and reported Jan. 22. The value was not listed.
A 34-year-old Glendale man was criminally charged with misdemeanor battery/domestic abuse after he was arrested for that and resisting/obstruction also domestic related about 2 a.m. Jan. 23. Police responded to the residence after a neighbor called 911 reporting a man yelling and a woman crying. The woman, who also called 911, had a bloody lip and said her live-in boyfriend had been drinking and would not let her leave and he jumped on the car cracking the windshield. The man, who was found hiding in the garage, denied hurting the woman saying he had no idea how she got a bloody lip. She signed a 72-hour no contact order.
No reportable incidents this week.
13A 47-year-old Milwaukee woman is a suspect for attempting to have a fraudulent/forged oxycodone prescription filled at Thompson's Serv-U Pharmacy, 1421 E. Capitol Drive, at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15. She fled the store when told the doctor was to be called to verify the prescription which was fraudulent.
14A 34-year-old man, residence not listed, was cited for trespassing at a relative's home in the 1600 block of East River Park Court at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 18. He had been warned about two hours before to leave and not to return or he would be cited. He returned and was cited.
15An apartment was entered but nothing taken in the 3900 block of North Cramer Street before midnight Jan. 18. An exterior window was broken to gain entry.
16A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct after a witness reported him urinating against a building in the 1300 block of East Capitol Drive at 9:36 p.m. Jan. 20. The man said he had to "go really bad."
An 18-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for unlawful use of a computer and disorderly conduct after sending "threatening messages" via Facebook to a juvenile the afternoon of Jan. 22.
17A smartphone and case valued at $220 were taken when left unattended in the weight room at Shorewood Fitness Center, 3839 N. Oakland Ave., between 7 and 7:45 p.m. Jan. 24.
18A front window was damaged in the 5500 block North Berkeley Boulevard on Jan. 19 or 20 and reported Jan. 22. The amount or cause of the damage was not reported.
A 23-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man, both of Whitefish Bay, were arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic related at 1:46 a.m. Jan. 25. A child was turned over to a relative. Police were informed that an Assistant District Attorney "declined to issue charges" and that the Milwaukee Bureau of Child Welfare would be notified of the incident.
19A resident reported a male looking through a mailbox in the 4900 block of North Wildwood Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Jan. 25. The man, described as wearing a red and black jacket and a blue hat, "took off" when he noticed he was being watched.
20A smiley face painted with chocolate syrup was found on the hood of a 2011 Chevy Camaro convertible in the 5500 block of North Hollywood Avenue at 9:25 p.m. Jan. 25. The owner reported his car had been vandalized before. No damage was reported.
21Three bottles of vodka valued at $103 were taken by a man who threatened employees as he fled the CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, about 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26. The suspect left in a blue Toyota Corolla.
