YOURNEIGHBORS

Jerome R. McGinnis and his company, Mequon-based Embassy Homes, were honored by the Milwaukee Area Technical College Foundation Inc. with the Partners in Excellence Award in March. McGinnis is the chairman and CEO of Embassy Homes, a custom home-building company founded in 1961. The award is given annually to a local corporation, foundation or individual who has contributed significantly to the success of MATC and the foundation. McGinnis has been a longtime supporter of the MATC Foundation as a board member and donor, currently serving as a vice president. He received a much-needed scholarship as a college student, which motivated him to give back to others in the same way; McGinnis and Embassy Homes have provided scholarships to many MATC students in skilled trades.
