Mark Jacobs of Shorewood has accepted an invitation to join the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.

The following students from the North Shore earned $2,500 National Merit Scholarship Corp. awards based on their scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test: from Nicolet High School, Max Lawton and Luli Zou of Bayside and Rachel Wilkinson of Fox Point; from Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, Jack Koppa of Glendale; from Homestead High School in Mequon, Nicholas Van Handel and Bryanna Yeh of Mequon; from University School of Milwaukee in River Hills, Nicole Flanary of Mequon; from Shorewood High School, Gabriella Champagne-Sitzler and Katherine Kuchin of Shorewood; from University Lake School in Hartland, Gabriel Foster of Shorewood; from Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, Amelia Foss of Whitefish Bay; and from Whitefish Bay High School, Emma Fallone of Whitefish Bay.
Adam Outcelt of Mequon earned a corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship award based on his scores on the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
