CAMPUSNEWS
• Kelsey Penebaker of Glendale and Ashley Cannon and Nicholas Hoffman, both of Mequon, graduated from Winona University in Winona, Minn.
• Brittany Coats of Glendale was named to the 2010 spring dean's list at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan.
• Ashley Retzlaff of Bayside was named to the 2010 dean's list at Ripon College.
• Rebekah Kohn of Whitefish Bay was named to the 2010 dean's list at St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind.
• Alexander Walzak of Whitefish Bay graduated May 16 from Denison University in Grantville, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in arts and cinema. Walzak received the Marimac Scholarship.
• Jameela Fowler, a graduate of Brown Deer High School, was awarded the National Volunteer Service Scholarship from the National Mutual Benefit organization. This scholarship recognizes volunteer action in a student's community or school and honors those dedicated to learning, as well serving others. Fowler will be attending Alabama A&M University this fall.
• Maddie Wakley of Shorewood, and a theater arts student at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, is serving this summer as a teaching assistant at the First Stage Children's Theatre in Milwaukee. First Stage is preparing for upcoming productions of "Peter Pan and Wendy," Disney's "My Son Pinocchio," "Aesop's Fables," and other plays.
• Megan White graduated May 15 with a degree in English and creative writing from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
• Kari Kaelin of Brown Deer was named to the 2010 spring dean's list at Marquette University.

• Larry Schnuck of Whitefish Bay will continue on as president of the board for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Alumni Association for the 2010-2011 year.
SERVICENEWS
• Army Pvt. Dominic Toth has graduated from basic training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga. Dominic is the son of Allen Toth of Mequon and a 2008 graduate of Homestead High School in Mequon.
• Midshipman Richard Kern of Fox Point is leaving for sea for several months aboard U.S. merchant vessels. Kern is a student at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. He is the son of Stephen and Deborah Kern of Fox Point and a 2009 graduate of Nicolet High School.
