Cook-Harper
Candace Cook and Maj. Michael Harper were married Jan. 30, 2009, in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Parents of the bride are Daryl and Vickie Bailey, Mullens, W. Va. Parents of the groom are Rich and Elaine Harper, Brown Deer.
The Rev. Jodie Champeaw officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride wore a charmeuse, V-neck halter gown with a ruched bodice, a beaded and embroidered drop waist and a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of red roses.
The bride, who earned her master's degree in speech language pathology from Marshall University, Huntington, W. Va., is a speech pathologist on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
The groom, who earned his bachelor's degree in business from St. Norbert's College and his master's degree from the Navy War College, Newport, R.I., is the director of personnel for the White House Communications Agency at the White House, Washington, D.C.
The couple honeymooned in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee for one week. They reside in Arlington, Va.
