COMMUNITY COYOTE AWARENESS “Learn From the Experts” informational meeting


The Village of Bayside will be hosting an informational workshop for interested residents on February 6 on the subject of the coyotes in our communities. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm on February 6, held in the cafeteria of Bayside Middle School, 601 E. Ellsworth Lane, Bayside, WI, 53217. Participants can park in the north parking lot, located off Ellsworth Lane.

This workshop is open to any person interested in coyote behaviors and their impact on the local community, specifically with regards to coyotes in urban settings, their behaviors, and options for coexisting.

Main presenters include Lynsey White-Dasher, Urban Wildlife Specialist from the Humane Society of the United States, and Tom Isaac, Wildlife Biologist from the Wisconsin DNR. They will outline and demonstrate several issues, including:

  • Insight on coyote ecology and behavior

  • Why coyotes are in our communities

  • How to deal with conflicts with coyotes

  • Tips for coexistence

  • Coyote hazing techniques

  • Questions – Ask the Experts

    Village of Bayside Police Department officials, as well as staff will also be on hand to answer questions from residents with regards to coyotes in the metropolitan area.
